Kyoto Day 1

Ok, so i checked in really late last night (7+pm) and I was freaking shagged. And not knowing the area around my hotel did not help. Till today, I was still trying to figure out the transport system here in Kyoto, but ok, the good news first...There are still cherry blossoms!!! In fact, i just spent 1 hour walking along the old canal today on a route called the 'philosopher's path' and cherry blossoms are all lined up! They are so freaking ass-holic gorgeous!

Ok, and last night, I had wanted to bet some food from Takashimaya basement before it closes at 8pm cos some ass said the shopping mall is adjacent and next to my hotel. What an ass! Apparently, I realised today as I was walking and lost after my tired trip to Yakasa Shrine and Gion (the area famed for Geishas as seen in Memoirs of Geisha, but then, I cannot locate any streets that looks old and tiny...boo!) that Takashimay is (ok, it is walking) 25 minutes by foot. Gosh! So, i spent 10 min at the underground mall my hotel is connected to, and another 10 around the hotel, cos i tot that's where Taka is at (cos its supposed to be "next to and adjacent" right?) I realised that the rain is not worth me getting wet and hungry and tired just to get to Taka! Yah, it was raining yesterday too! It rained since I got onto the bullet train in Tokyo all the 3 hours till I got to Kyoto.

So, i ended up spending night in my room all hungry and cold and tired. Ok, my hotel room is gorgeous haha, but still! So, I was msn-ing on line and surfing web till i realised that the street next to me is famed for cheap eats! So i bid my friend tata and went to eat at around 9 and man! i got great food! haha...i had fried katsu with 2 edi and rice and salad and paid only 630 yen! thats like 9 bucks only! I took photo but too bad not on my handphone so u guys have to wait.

Speaking of photos, as my phone's not working here, so all i am posting are pics of stuff i got and had arrived back in my hotel hahhaa...so mostly shopping yah! haha...

Let's start! the view from my room of Kyoto...

I went to Fancl today to buy the facial washing powder and Alvina's calarie limit pills haha...and my pimple cream and some pills to help sleep...haha blew 12,000 yen there! that's like... 160 bucks!

Then, I went to Isetan and got strawberries! only 500 yen! 7 bucks only!!! so cheap and RED!

And! I also managed to go Takashimaya after dinner to get cakes! Saw this queue at this counter and realised it's called Gramercy, like the hotel in new york...and then, i realised, it IS a set up from the Gramercy of New York!haha...As with all Japanese stuff, the cakes are impeccably packed! So gorgeous, You feel good with the packaging even before you eat! haha... of course beauty comes at a price...1000 yen for these 2, that's 14 bucks...

I got a fruit cheese mousse (just ate and oh-my-god!) and a fruit short cake...yummy!

K, gotta finish the other cake and sleep cos I got many shrines to cover tomorrow. Oh, I went to the Silver Pavilion today and u know what?! After paying 500 yen for entrance, the pavilion was covered from head to toe cos it's being refurbished! Unlike Europe where the panels have photo of the structure being refurbished, here has nothing! Argh!
