We did lotsa sightseeing including, Louvre, Sacre Coer (which was just 5 minutes away by feet from our hostel), Effiel, Pantheon (which is way better than Rome's), Opera, Place Vendome, Rue St. Honore (posh shopping street with all the designers one can think of, and also, home to the Hermes flagship which did not allow Opera Winfrey in last summer) Galleries La Fayette, Champs Elysee (and of course the famous Louis Vuitton flagship), Arc de Triumph and lots more.
We also had crepes from road stands (for the cheap ones) and on Saturday night, we splurge on a great dinner near the Pantheon (my bill was 24 Euros for a coffee, main course on fish fillets, and a crepe with 2 scoops of ice cream). We also had bad cold take away from La Fayette Food hall on Friday and went to a nice japanese restaurent serving good teriyaki near Notre Dame. Before I left Paris on Sunday, I had a great breakfast at a charming little pattiserie near our hostel in Montmatre district.
We also did tons of shopping! I went to Fauchon (as someone once said: Fauchon is to Paris what Harrods is to London) and got lots of tea leaves! I also got my new wallet and a coin pouch from vuitton (now, my wallet match the reporter bag i have back home! ha) and we also went to Disneyland on Saturday, sort of, since the village outlet was near Disneyland. I bought a pair of black trousers and a merino wool vest from Agnes B and also, a Alain Figaret (sic) business shirt.
Love Paris for it's culture, food, shopping, and most surprisingly, the friendly Parisians and French we met while there! Now, who said the French were snooty? Ha.
