final countdown

here i am sitting in my room alone cos rob and the gang are gone till tuesday for their ski trip with buddy network. I cannot help but think that it is now december, and after 22 dec, this empty room is all i have with me till 24 when tina is here to spend xmas with me and together with faizah from milan, hopefull we'll all have fun.

but it is sad, no, actually, very sad and depressing to know that this journey for me is gonna end soon. I got to know so many people, all of whom are amazing, and now I know that whenever i am in a place far away from home (though i do not really like singapore as my home) i have a friend whom i can call. That i knew as evident from my trip to manchester where i looked up hayley. I realised that friends are someone whom you get to keep for life and even if you do not call each other up that frequent, an email seen in one's mailbox will trigger off the good memories that all shared when they are together. i guess like what i always say, life has to move on and one will just keep meeting new people in their life. BUT this is not the end for all of us here in vienna! we have merely reached the end of the circle. There's more to it furtherdown as we will continue to overlap the circumference we had drawn and our friendship will only be bolder and darker.

I never expected my exchange to be such an amazing journey! I never expected to meet all of these great people whom I now called friends. I never expected to have such a blast with all of them. I never expected all these but I guess I can expect where we are all heading next. We'll all be going back and soone, we'll seek in the cmfort of our loved ones and friends back home, but these does not mean I will forget about all the friends I made in Vienna. like i said, all it needs is an occasional email, an occasional skype message, or even an occasional msn messenger smile to let us all know that we are all still here, thinking of each other, thinking of the good old times we spent. The good old times we all spent in a foreign land where we all bonded.

So I take this oppurtunity to thank all of you out there!

in particular, my great buddy Cathi and adopted buddy Claus whom introduced me to the splendor of Viennese coffeehouses and great friendship.

Rob and Whitney who made me realised there're so much more in Kentucky then then Derby and KFC, and of course the gossips and rantings we all share. You guys are the closeset american friends that i ever will have, and surprise, you are both not from NYC! haha, gosh, i am getting all teary now. serious!

Montse, Marta and Christina for brushing up my Spanish and introducing great red wine with coke to me and making know so much more about spain, especially basque and catalonia.

Andrea, Jeambabtist, and Etianne for all the french thrashing talk you all have! and the rest of us in suspense and mystery.

Cha, Mook and Fon for great thai food and great bitching about class, teachers and other people!

Kevin, Ashley, Mindy for a dose of Oregon fun.

thank you all, and ther others whom i forgot to include...thank you

and this is not the last goodbye
