Anyway, we went for dim sum at Lei Gardens finally after months of wanting to try it and let me tell you...the dim sum was not bad. The flavors are not as heavy as Crystal Jade Golden Palace but overall, I am so switching to Lei anytime soon because there is no 1 hour queue at Lei Gardens unlike blardy Crystal Jade. Oh, and since weere at Lei, mum and I decided that we shall have another steam fish (yes, dear readers, you all can so tell that steamed fish is a must try everytime we are at Lei by now) to round up our meals.
So, after lunch, mum and I went over to Taka cos I wanted to check out my watches but that's laer...haha, so mum wanted to go LV and have a look but gosh! We were utterly disgusted by the long snaking queue outside, what do those folks at LV think? It's orchard road circa 2007, the boutique is not at Champs Elysees circa 2003, u noe! So, I told mum that we are NOT going in there and instead, we walked over to Hilton Hotl where the LV there was great! Met a very lovely SA(sales assistant) there called Sharon and she showed Mum a new arrival called the Tivoli which Mum oved, but! Tivoli is out of stock in singapore and next arrival will only be here in January. Cue to scene where Mum pout (and I gave a wicked smile inside) haha...But I do agree that the Tivoli is i nice bag...very auntie, very mum.

So, over at hilton, I am so digressing but I checked out the Mulberry boutique and *cough* they have a wel,, limited (ok, pathetic if that's the word) collection on display circa London Fall 2006.
In the end, I found that Missoni had a great collection there but then, who needs another Missoni when it's not winter here. So, i got a Paul Smith polo in purple (yes, but it's a nice shade, ok) as it was on sale, and sensing i had been NOT bying any new tops for this WHOLE year, I reckoned I should pamper myself.
Ok, so back to the watch. So, I went over to The Hour Glass and I was greeted by this really nice guy called (i forgot, but i did take his name card and he is so gonna get my commission from the watch sale, so take that you pathetic bunch of black suited Rolex SAs there who snub me on my way out!) and he showed me a few watches which I narrowed down to from the....drum rolls please... Patek Philippe collection. Yes, Patek Philippe. that is what I want to get. The holy grail of luxury timepieces. You know what the advert says: You never own a Patek Philippe, You merely look after it for the next generation.
Aw...Ain't that sweet?
so, I have narrowed down to these two which the my AD (authorised dealer) showed me, the Reference 5134 in white gold at 36,000 SGD

and the updated classic Calatrave Ref. 6000 at 32,500 SGD:

Which you think is better? My heart's with the 5134 cos it can shows 2 times and it is manual winding (meaning it is better for ppl like me who only wears it once in a while).
Oh, just in case you are all thinking that these money is falle from the sky. No! I am bying with my own money this time round cos lets just sa, the recent stock market rally this year has made me all these spare cash.
I am gonna start an affair with Mr. Philippe!
