Bratislava in Slovakia

Was in Bratislava after Prague with Tina, Cha, Mook and Fon. The city was beautiful and it is so easy to navigate cos' it's so small and everything can be done in a day trip. We took a boat there in the evening and spent 1 night then came back by bus around 7pm. The boat costs us 17 euros 1-way but the bus was only 5 euros. Ha. But the boat was amazing and the view is breathtaking.

And we had some drama fiasco too! The Thai gals were denied entry into Slovakia cos they do not hold diplomats' pass (only diplomats can visit there visa free, or so the stupid woman selling Tix at the ferry terminal said, and I was so bitchy to her, can ask Tina to fill in details)

After all the fiasco, and Tina and I were just about to give up and go to our hostel in Slovakia while the 3 Thai gals were demanded back onto the boat by the Slovaks police, they 3 suddenly came running out with joy! apparently, we were so fixated by the 'Diplomat' part that the girls actually have this card that identify themselves as students and therefore, also falling into the visa free area!

After walking through the old town to get to our lovely hostel, we went out for dinner at this great Italian place, and then proceeded to this bar called Slovak Pub (recommended by Rob and gang) for beer. The strupid waitress there got us Dumplings when we asked for Napkins!

Mental note: Slovaks sucks when it comes to English.

We then went to a club and after an hour or so, head back to our rooms to catch some quality sleep for an early day tomorrow where we went to the castle on the hill and managed to get some gorgeous views of the town. Thereafter, we went to this really cool church and we get to see skeletons underground through a glass panel and even managed to go down to the crypts!

We also met this really cool Aussie gal, Natalie, who had been travelling around Europe for 13 weeks and been to places like Egypt! She joined us for the trip to the castle and it was so nice to meet a new friend!

Bratislava is very pretty, but Prague is more majestic, afterall, Prague was the Capital before these 2 countries split. However, Bratislava is cleaner and way cheaper. 2 scoops or ice cream is only S$1! But they do not have the Budweiser which Prague has!
