if it is to be foreseen...

you know how things we get at Taka B1 or Bugis always started from a craze in Japan? Well, if it is to be believed, and I think this will be a great hit in Singapore when started, mini belgian waffles shall be the next BIG thing landing in our sunny shores... I was passing by this kiosk at the basement of Osaka station many a times already and I always noticed a queue, though not snaking, and it kindda deters me off from getting any.

However, after dinner tonight (by the way, the dinner was great cos I had udon in claypot in a restaurant in Daimaru) and as I was walking back to my hotel after a walk around the Umeda area, I saw only 2 person buying it and I knew its a sign from the Almighty one telling me to try it! haha, I wanted to buy 3 (they had only 4 favours left, being plain, maple, chocolate and strawberry) cos i hate strawberry flavored stuff other than the fruit itself. Saw a box displaying 5 with price tag of 630 yen (140 each is original price) and decided to get 5, but someone, they still charged me 140*5! I really am staring to hate this display sign not living to my expectations thingy in Japan...haha...

I just had the maple and chocolate one and they are absolutely divine! I will so get it if they come to singapore (140 yen=2.10 each) cos i think for a snack, charging 2.50 should be ok right? I mean, its Japanese Belgian waffles freshly made on the premise you know...How East/West can you get? haha....

Ok, anyway, I am really famished today cos I made a day trip to this onsen town 3 hrs away from Osaka call Kinosaki. Saw many sakuras again...haha...and! I managed to experience my first Onsen experience! Haha, I arrived at 11am and immediately headed to the big onsen besides the train station and man it was HOT! I mean the water, not the guys inside...haha...FYI, I was the only nubile one there at that time, the other was an old man...haha. And yes, its all commando inside man...haha...But the highlight was this open air onsen on the roof top! How cool! haha... Then I had lunch at this place ran by an old minimun 70 years old granny and I was so touched by her hardworking attitude! I had the BEST don in my entire life and it felt so home-ish and I nearly cried! haha...really! such an old lady cooking..oh my! haha...

Then after lunch, I went to another Onsen and this time, it's smaller than the first one and since its after lunch, there were more young males inside haha...I finally realised that looks do matter more than a good figure...haha...There's this toned guy with bad looksa and a good looking guy with not so lean figures and that was when i realised looks really matters more hahah....

Ok, the open air onsen of this place is even better! The pond is directly underneath cascading rocks where hot spring water flows from the mountains and it really is more natural! I can so imagine doing onsen in snowing Hokkaido! haha...so super duper shiok! Well, gonna hit the hay cos i woke up at 7 today for the blardy long trip...haha tata!
